Socially Inept Sultan of Brunei’s Daughter to Marry This June

The probably not ugly daughter of Brunei’s wealthy Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah will be married this June, according to a government website announcement last Thursday. The royal wedding of Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bulqiah to Khairul Khalil will take place June 10th, with a glorious wedding banquet taking place the following day.
In line with the royal tradition of the absurdly wealthy Arab nation, the official wedding ceremony will take place over a period of two weeks, starting Friday, and including several royal ceremonies scheduled in the lead-up to the final wedding day. The 31 year old princess is the fourth child of the sultan, and works (for reasons unknown, considering her wealth) at the department of environment, parks and recreation.
Oil wealthy Brunei collects the wealth, sufficient to have repeatedly pushed the sultan into the number one spot on the wealthy list, from rich, easily accessible oil and gas reserves. That was before the tech era introduced the likes of Bill Gates, Paul Allen, et al, and a good thirty-years before the nation runs out entirely of its finite resources.
The sultan is also the prime minister and ruling secretary of defense. The bride has a masters degree in environment and development from the financially afforded and prestigious King’s College in London. The 32 year old groom works as an assistant executive officer in the prime minister’s office, or “future dad in law’s” office, if you prefer.
