With Rosie’s departure announcement still hot on the gossip wire, Roseanne Barr is among the many vying for the spot. According to the New York Post, names like Whoopi Goldberg, Joan Rivers, Kathy Griffin, Kathie Lee Gifford, Connie Chung and Bette Midler are on the tips of tongues, but the 54-year-old Barr would be a more direct replacement.

Emmy winner and outspoken matron of humor told Las Vegas’ KVVU-TV Monday, “I would love the chance to [co-host the show]. I’d love it. Yeah, definitely. I think I would do a real good job. I’d stir up some real good controversy.”

She may be an unforgettable loudmouth, perhaps even in a good way, but her command of the English language is still anything but masterful. Whether the lowbrow lady would be a success on the show is still unknown, she does have the star appeal and free time on her hands needed to fill Rosie’s size-12-in-mens shoes.
