Perez Hilton published a leaked and fantastic tape of singer and American Idol judge Paula Abdul’s conference call in which the often-groggy pop matron went off the deep end. It was first reported on Page Six, and quickly surfaced on YouTube, and it really clears up the meaning of “batshit insane”.

The recording of a weeping Paula says, in part, “I’ve never been treated this way and I’ve never seen anybody treated this way. This is just too much to stomach… I don’t understand how this man can call me a whining bitch. I’ve never in my life been called a whining bitch and a loser… I’ve been going through tremendous amounts of a difficult time… I’ve developed this thing called Addison’s disease…My adrenals are empty…and my immune system is not very good. And the worst thing about my spinal cord injury, and now Addison’s, is that stress makes it hyper, hyper bad.” A voice on the other end of the line assures her, “You’re going to begin being treated better starting right now.”

Once the tape surfaced, she quickly fired back saying, “This is not only illegal but also highly unethical,” Abdul said in a statement to tmz.com. “While I don’t feel a need to justify or explain my conversation, even as a public figure I do feel my privacy has been violated and find this action to be unacceptable.” She also denied that she was actually diagnosed with Addison’s disease.

Bravo will premier her new reality show, “Hey Paula,” June 28th. It follows Abdul through a new season of Idol, develops her own perfume and cosmetics line, and shows just how sleep deprivation makes her seem drunk.
