Hilary Swank Embraces Mother Earth as Much as She Fathers Okay Movies

Two time Oscar winner Hilary Swank announced last Friday an around-the-world relay race to raise money and awareness for billion people who live without safe drinking water, and who can’t watch her pretty-okay-at-best movies. Blue Planet Run Foundation is organizing 20 runners who will go 15,000 miles over 95 days through 16 Northern Hemisphere countries, in case anyone cares.
Swank said to reporters on the U.N. lawn:
“What if it were your job to carry in a rusty metal pail all the water you and your family would use for the day? What if the water made you sick? What if you had no choice? I know I will never take a glass of water for granted again.”
Each participant will run 750 miles, which feels roughly equivalent to watching about two of her movies, even though she’s won Best-actress Oscars for her roles in “Boys Don’t Cry” and “Million Dollar Baby”, neither of which I’ve ever seen.
