Paparazzi beach trophy Matthew McConaughey has been named “bachelor of the year” by the brilliant, well respected magazine “People” last Thursday. The 37 year old beat out lesser listed bachelors like Zach Braff, Jake Gyllenhaal, Justin Timberlake, Olympic skater Apolo Ohno, and British Princes William and Harry.

McConaughey told People,

“What better way to enjoy it than at the beach, where few people wear shirts? I don’t really have a workout regimen I follow. I just live my life. My goal is to break a sweat each day. What I look for in a woman is what I love to call the `two Hs’ — hotness and humor. But to be honest, a woman with a good sense of humor is always hot.”

To prove how truly accurate the list is, it’s important to point out that McConaughey lives in an Airstream RV, and that David Spade also made the list, despite being 4′2″, looking like a woman, and being well into his 40s. One better, last year’s chart-topper was autistic Cro Magnon crooner Taylor Hicks from American Idol.
