It’s been seven-months since famed actress Denise Richards and Bon Jovi rocker Richie Sambora officially announced their intent to wed, but despite the intervening ton of holidays, no such holy union has transpired.

Denise Richards, now 36 (going on 14) was reportedly “head over heels in love” the 48 year old (going on 65) guitarist from the long-faded rock group led by Jon Bon Jovi.

The tall tale of the engagement was originally reported in Star Magazine last September, going so far as to preclude litigation by including mention that Denise Richards’ publicist patently denied the rumor. Once again it seems that “anonymous sources close to the situation” have led the eager public astray, an invariable variable the likes of Star Magazine invariably depend on for their ubiquitous exclusives.

Bear in mind that Star Magazine lives, whenever they don’t die, by the very virtue of the “anonymous sources” the so frequently site as their personal witnesses who attest to whatever might be popular today. It’s sad, we know, but they’ve made millions from such baseless claims so who are we to protest.

Call it love as some have, call it strange as all would have, call it creepy as the FBI probably did, or just call it 20/20 hindsight bias, but Star Magazine has once again led us astray with their tales of hideously ugly babies to come that never did.
