Former Playboy mega-bunny Anna Nicole Smith, who rose to fame by marrying a real-life, billionaire version of The Crypt Keeper, will do in death one of the few things she couldn’t in life. She’s appearing in a film at the Cannes Film Festival. Well, not so much “at” it as “near” it, specifically in special market screenings away from the main festival. In other words, there is no chance of an award, but we have to take what she gave us.

The B-grade, sci-fi comedy “Illegal Aliens” stars the synthetic babe as a member of an alien fighting force formed, “When three aliens morph into super-hot babes and arrive to protect the earth from the intergalactic forces of evil.” Just to make sure the film isn’t taken too seriously, her spaceship has a bumper sticker reading, “My other ride is Uranus”.

Smith is believed to have died from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs, possibly methadone, last February. Her face has been a daily tabloid fixture due to her autopsy, burial, the paternity and custody of her daughter, and what will become of her estate.
