Hotties Brangelina waxed emotionally about love and family while premiering their new film last week, as it pertained to the remarkably commonplace murder of US journalist Daniel Pearl as it was extracted by extremists. The sexy dynamic duo was met by Pearl’s widow, Mariane, whose book on her husband’s murder is forthcoming this year, as if to pepper her own salt on that very same insult.The 31 year old “A Mighty Heart” actress was warmly applauded at a packed screening, with noted critics oddly suggesting it might have been the actress’s best work since her 2000 Oscar for Girl, Interrupted, though fans couldn’t possibly know, since nobody saw that pile of garbage.

Jolie told reporters, “I remember being six months pregnant and thinking ‘I can’t imagine at this time not having the father with me and being concerned about his life and trying to eat and trying to remember to get some sleep’. So as a woman it just made me so much more connected to (Mariane) and aware of her and also knowing that carrying that life inside, that little boy that’s half Danny that is so so amazing and her love — I’m sure there couldn’t also have been a greater gift at that time to help pull her through something like that.”

Pearl was beheaded, but this film will face no such fate. It’s more likely it will have its legs cut out from under it, and that’s kind of a best case scenario, since it won’t even see a limited release in the United States. Pitt instead will be pushing the hell out of “Oceans 13″, a film you and I are both likely to see, even though it’s almost certainly not nearly as good. What can I say, we’re people, and these are people movies, and so it goes.
